The absolute best camera for beginners, hands down, is the Canon Vixia HF r800. It’s super simple, point and shoot, has really great picture quality, easy customization and really simple to get into the menus and work the insides of the camera. It’s really user friendly. Even down to uploading your video to a computer or plugging the USB into the side of the TV, it’s all really simple. It’s the camera I started making films with, and it’s the camera we’re currently shooting our whole series with. It’s excellent, easy and great quality. Excellent quality doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated.
