Look, it’s so good that you were totally pumped up about getting this job and you’ve been accepted and will definitively perform fine at it. But you better take it down a notch, sit down and start typing until lunchtime and then back again until end of day.
Because you’ll be doing a lot of that: sitting and typing. And while typing is not exactly top 10 of the most rigorous and extenuating activities to engage in, sitting long periods of time regularly (like +40 hours weekly), most definitively affects your body.
Now imagine just how bad for you sitting uncomfortably for said prolonged period of time will be. I don’t know about you, but I definitely would do anything to avoid damaging this God-given body of mine. And that includes putting requisitions on notice to get me one office chair specially designed for computer work. Sit tight and type away.

This office chair can be adjusted in various ways so you are bound to find the perfect setting for you. People spend a lot of time in front of their computer so they will need a chair that is comfortable and this ergonomic chair is loved by everyone in our office. It is great for tall people too!

With 6 different colours and designs, the Homall office chair is great for long hours of sitting as there is an adjustable headrest and lumbar support. The comfort level is also sublime as it is firm enough to support your posture, while being soft enough to be comfortable. Moreover, the chair is easy to set up and extremely affordable.

The back support is amazing, and I love how tall the chairs are. The seats are wide enough that I can sit indian style in them. The cushions (lower back and head) provide a good amount of support without being too much. This is probably the comfiest office chair I’ve ever sat in. 10/10, would recommend.

Tried and tested the most functional, customizable, and stereotypical office chair. The price is steep, starting at $1175 but it will last forever and keep you ergonomically sane in the process.
#5 Sayl Chair

I use this as a home-office chair due to it’s more aggressive design and relaxed feel. It has less ergonomic and customization options, but the price is nearly half that of the Aeron.

This is the new hotness from Herman Miller, intended to work alongside or even replace the Aeron. It auto-adjusts for you, so there is less tinkering with the adjustments, which is helpful if anyone else wants to sit in the chair.
