This rack-scale architecture is designed for both AI model training and inference, giving Anthropic additional computing flexibility alongside its existing Nvidia, Amazon Trainium, and Google TPU infrastructure.

The planned two-gigawatt deployment represents one of the largest AI infrastructure commitments announced in 2026.
AMD executives have previously estimated that building one gigawatt of AI computing infrastructure can require tens of billions of dollars in servers, networking equipment, cooling systems, power delivery, and data centre construction.
