Finally, you can use Zapier and Xero to automate workflows. Only problem is that it’s not the cheapest solution, especially if you have have customers paying in different currencies. That said given the value you get it’s been a no-brainer.

One of our favorites is Bkper, which is a free service and based on your Google GSuite account. It has a surprisingly significant number of features for a free tool, and we think its interface is very clean and intuitive. It permits you to submit electronic copies of your records, such as receipts and invoices, which can then be attached to the data entered into the system. It also has a handy function which automatically scans submitted documents and fills in as much of the record data as it can (i.e. price). My personal favorite is Wave app both because it’s free for majority of its features, and because it enables users to track their business as well as personal finances in one place. Wave app is a good option for freelancers and small businesses because it doesn’t offer in-depth services more expensive software usually have. What users do pay is payment processing and payroll services which are tuned with competitor’s prices. I would recommend this app to anyone, at least to try, because there’s nothing to lose – literally.
