Looking for Brick Laying jobs? This has been revealed as the job with the least number of job openings (only 271 jobs advertised currently).

The data was gathered by entering each job type into PayScale’s salary comparison checker. The wage is measured as the average total compensation across the UK, which includes tips, bonuses and overtime pay.

If you are a Handy Man with less than a year experience then you can consider yourself lucky, as the data reveals they earn around £10.35/hour.  Plasterers with less than a year experience are not as lucky earning only £7.86/hour.

Which trade jobs require the most and least qualifications in order to practice?

MyJobQuote.co.uk then looked at the job openings which require the most and least qualifications. Each number represents the total mentions of the respective skill/qualification on Indeed found on the first page of job openings for each career.

The data reveals that being an Electrician requires the most qualification, with most employers asking for the City & Guilds certificate, alongside CSCS’.  The second trade job which requires the most qualifications to practice is Plumbing, with most plumbers needing their CSCS’ in order to practice. 

If you have Handy Man skills and you would like to work as one, then you are lucky! As this is the profession which most often does not require any qualifications! Most Painters don’t need qualifications either, the research showing only one job opening for painters requiring a CSCS.
