In 2008 MIG was ranked No.1 in the Tech Track 100, securing the title of fastest growing technology company in the UK. MIG was acquired by NASDAQ listed Velti plc in November 2011 and Kern then acted as VP of Technology for the corporation. In 2014 Kern co-founded Fonix Mobile and guided the messaging and payments venture throughout its three year growth phase.
