Anton is a data science specialist with a PhD and experience both in academia and the private sector. Anton’s research interests include the cryptoassets market and its behavioural aspects. Anton is the co-author of the Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index, the real-time estimate of the total electricity load and consumption of the Bitcoin network. Previously, Anton taught Data Science at Karazin Kharkiv National University and the University of Barcelona. He also worked at, and then managed, an analytics company where he mastered the software development cycle and came across Bitcoin while working on its price modelling. Prior to his work with cryptoassets, Anton specialised in renewable energy and conducted nuclear safety tests at the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology as a Research Fellow. Anton holds an MSc in Applied Physics and an MSc in Applied Economics from the Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Julia Shaw is a memory hacker and psychological scientist in the Department of Psychology at University College London (UCL). She is best known for her work in the area of false memories – memories of things that never actually happened. She is also known for her work in the area of criminal psychology. In 2016 she published her bestselling book “The Memory Illusion: Remembering, Forgetting, and the Science of False Memory”, which will appear in 14 languages. Her next book, due to appear in the spring of 2018, is entitled “Making Evil: The Science Behind Humanity’s Dark Side”. She is also a regular contributor to Scientific American. Besides her research, she delivers business, legal, military, and police talks on preventing common memory mistakes, and making the most of our faulty memory. She also works with workplaces to ensure best practices for dealing with vulnerable populations. Julia Shaw also consults regularly as an expert on legal cases, particularly cases involving historical allegations. Her work has been featured on TV, radio, in print, and online, including in outlets such as Discovery Channel, BBC, CNN World, Russia Today, New York Magazine, The Times, The Telegraph, NPR, The Daily Mail, Pour le Science, and The Sun.
