Jams has more than 14 years of venture capital experience and three years of operational experience in life science companies. His directorships have included Chroma Therapeutics, Clinical Designs and Syntaxin. He joined Abingworth as CFO in 1998, prior to which he was CFO of Prolifix from 1995 to 1998. He trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. He holds a degree in Biology with Chemistry from the University of Southampton. James handles Abingworth’s finance and administration as well as investment matters, focusing on start-up companies.

Rose Fletcher

Rose joined DPI in November 2008. Prior to DPI, she held a number of roles in Finance, Treasury and Corporate Finance at Old Mutual in both their London and South Africa offices. Rose was part of the team that completed the acquisition of the £4 billion Skandia insurance group in 2006, leading the transaction financials and being actively involved in the deal structuring and execution. In 2000 she moved to London and was instrumental in setting up the new head office finance function. Rose is a director of DPI Management Ltd, ADP I’s investment manager. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Rose trained at Deloitte & Touche in South Africa. Rose holds a BA (Languages) and two Post Graduate Diplomas, one in Education and one in Accounting, all from the University of Cape Town. Rose is a citizen of South Africa and Britain.
