Trello is a project management software that I’ve been using lately, and has proven to be extremely beneficial and fun! If you have smaller teams, this is a great software for you. It’s Kanban board based, which is a methodology that was started by an industrial engineer in the 40s. As cards are the basics of Trello, you’ll find that you can organize it into different phases on the board. One negative when it comes to this though is the fact that it only corresponds to one project. This means that if you have another project, you need to make an entirely new board. Other than that, it’s absolutely great and it’s free!

Asana is one of the best project management softwares in the market right now. It’s considered most suitable for projects that have large teams working on them. With its powerful features and easy-to-use interface, Asana sets the bar high for other solutions. Asana works on a pay-to-unlock-features model with Basic, Premium, Business, and Enterprise tiers, all of which are very affordable and well worth the price.

ProofHub is a brilliant piece of project management software. It allows users to plan and organise projects in a way that’s suitable for the team – it’s not a one size fits all type of solution. ProofHub has an API feature so it can integrate with tools like Freshbooks, Google Docs, Dropbox, Google Calendar and OneDrive. Additionally ProofHub can be used to create Kanban boards and Gantt charts enabling much better project visualisation. ProofHub brags an impressive clientele used by the likes of Google, Nike, Netflix, NASA and Pinterest. Enabling discussion, time tracking and management, as well as quality metrics ProofHub delivers as a great project management solution for all teams.

Nifty is a modern project management tool with a simpler interface than Asana and Clickup. The team does not require any training to use it. The mobile app, dark mode, templates, and ability to drag & drop projects on the calendar makes project management a breeze. Nifty interlines the milestones with the tasks, motivating team members to reach their goals on time. You can view the entire project in multiple views, such as Kanban and Gantt Charts. My favorite part of Nifty is the workload view, which enables me to track each team member’s work.

After switching from different project management software, we found ClickUp to be the most suitable one for our organization. Its user interface is very friendly, even to beginners, which makes it easy and fun to learn. We also love how the software is able to handle multiple projects and tasks at once and that there are a lot of view options to choose from. It’s robust, comprehensive, and graphically appealing, which makes collaborating a breeze for everyone. There are also ready-made templates that we can use for all sorts of tasks, may it be for marketing, agile projects or sprints, and a lot more. The integrations that the software offers also take their service up a notch and since it’s also mobile-friendly, my team and I are able to access and keep track of projects at all times.

Basecamp focuses on team communication. It is a project leadership and team collaboration software solution that enables you to manage projects and interact effectively with clients. It includes a variety of features and tools for brainstorming, organising conversations, and keeping everyone on the same page throughout the work. You will encounter restrictions such as no time tracking, no ability to archive subjects, no subtasks, no professional team hierarchy, only external integrations, and so on. These restrictions are precisely why businesses and teams are seeking the best Basecamp alternatives. No tool is perfect. It is your unique requirements that will determine whether a tool is appropriate for your organisation. So, if Basecamp appears to be a reasonable option for you, give it a shot.

Monday.com is by far the best project management software I have come across. I use it with my team of content providers and workers, and it is a great way to both assign and create projects, all while tracking workflow, deadlines, and edits. You can create sub-groups of projects to assign them to different members of the team, and there is also live commentary enabled so that workers can ask questions, and get their issues resolved quickly. Full communication amongst the team, easy assignation of projects, and it simplifies keeping track of everything needed. I cannot recommend it enough.
