He oversees the Centre’s Latin America and Eastern Europe & Central Asia researchers, is involved in the production of briefings and research materials, and manages work streams such as the “Business, Conflict & Peace” project. Mauricio also co-ordinates joint initiatives with Resource Centre partners, and led the recent redevelopment of the Resource Centre’s website. Mauricio previously served as law clerk at International Criminal Court, Programme Manager at Mexican Commission for the Protection & Defence of Human Rights, and Outreach Coordinator at B’Tselem (Israeli Information Centre for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories). Mauricio has published various articles on business & human rights. In 2014 he was invited to join the board of director at EIRIS – Empowering Responsible Investment. Steve joined from the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) where he had been since 2008 having been specifically recruited to manage the ICT security for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As the UK’s largest ever-peacetime mobilisation of police officers, Steve worked at the highest levels within LOCOG, Government Departments, emergency services and suppliers to deliver what is considered one of the most successful Games in history.
