DSLRs stands for digital single lens reflex. It refers to a digital camera that uses a digital imaging sensor and integrates the mechanisms of traditional single-lens reflex camera and optics. Digital single-lens reflex cameras popularity only grows since their introduction and have replaced many film-based single-lens reflex cameras.

As the go-to tool for capturing high-quality images, the DSLR camera market for professional and amateur photographers can only increase further. That’s why having a handy guide of which are the best offerings is a blessing. Carry one of these and preserve through its lenses the beauty your eyes see.

I believe this is the best all-rounder DSLRs for beginners. It has a touch screen which is great when trying to get used to a new camera. You can frame up images & videos from all sorts of awkward angles. Not only that but its built in Wifi allows beginners to send their images straight to their phone and edit. There’s no need for an expensive computer to edit on. One of my favourite reasons.

If you want to take your photography game to the next level but do not want to break the bank and have no photography experience, this is the camera for you. It is very user friendly for the beginner but has capabilities to grow as a photographer. If you really want to take your images to the next level just add this lens to it and your friends will be calling a professional in no time.

The reason I like this camera for YouTubers is that it has decently high quality with 4k capabilities and decent kit lens. This camera is ideal for people recording themselves because of the flip-around screen as well as the ability to plug in external microphones.

Packed with lots of in-camera features, great sensors, and convenient automated settings for different environments – like landscape, portrait, sports, and party – the FujiFilm XT-10 is also mirrorless, which makes it less bulky to handle, and has great color quality right out of the camera. The price point is under $1,000 and you can find good quality refurbished ones, as well.

This is an outstanding entry level cropped frame camera. Cropped frames have a smaller range of view than full frame camera. BUT, with the right lens a user can achieve great results.

The Canon entry-level DSLR is easy to use and navigating around the camera is not too complicated. While many balk at using kit lenses, I do believe they serve a purpose for the learner. If you can learn to take a great photo using kit lenses, you will be able to do just about anything.

One of the best things about this camera is its simple interface. If you’re inexperienced with cameras, you will have a Guided user interface to begin with and later on, you can switch to regular setup for more options. Also, the number of features that this model offers is substantial. For example, a multi-angle touchscreen enables you to take photos from different angles and still get professional shots.

Another great model for beginners is Nikon D3 400, primarily because of its 24-megapixel sensor. Although some other models have this sensor as well, they tend to cost much more money. Additionally, it allows you to maintain the connection to your smartphone at all times and store high and low-resolution files thanks to Nikon’s SnapBridge technology.
